Armed Forces Day - 26 June 2021

25th Jun 2021

On 26 June we recognise the dedication, courage and commitment of our serving personnel, veterans, cadets and their families and support networks on Armed Forces Day.

In 2019 we signed the Armed Forces Covenant to cement our commitment to treating past and present members of the Armed Forces, together with their families with equality, dignity, respect and honour.

Serving those who serve the country

Many of our members, volunteers and staff have served or know people who have, and with their help and guidance we shape our products and services to ensure they benefit our members from the military and their loved ones.

Whether that’s with our free and discounted days out to help families reunite and reconnect. Or our discounts, savings and offers to help save money on essentials and luxuries.

For people who spend so much time away, it’s more important than ever to recognise their need to relax and recuperate during down time. Which is why we are always introducing new and exciting ways to help our members maximise their free time, whatever their passions and hobbies.

  • CSSC.life – for those looking to relax, keep energised or stay healthy when on leave.
  • Days out and trips – to help forget about work and to reconnect with families.
  • Hobbies and classes – for indoor activities during typical British summers.
  • Community groups – to connect with others and like minded friends.

Cooking with Heroes

As well as our 100th birthday this year, the Royal British Legion turned 100 as well. To celebrate this tremendous milestone, they have lovingly produced a beautiful hardback cookbook, written by veterans and serving personnel from the Army, Royal Airforce and Royal Navy.

It not only includes loads of, easy to follow, recipes from 100 regions around the world, from professional military chefs and celebrity chefs, but also stories and personal journeys of heroes from each of those regions.

Each copy sold raises money for the Royal British Legion and makes a wonderful gift for those interested in cooking, baking, history or the military.

As sponsors of this beautiful cookbook, we are proud to help the Royal British Legion raise funds to help those who help others.
