Being a volunteer

Our volunteers are the beating heart of CSSC. They make everything we do possible and turn great ideas into fantastic trips, adventures and events for our members and their families.

Benefits of Volunteering

Both CSSC and our members benefit hugely from the time, effort and dedication our volunteers give to our events – here's what our volunteers have to say

What do our volunteers do?

Each role is unique, so whatever your skills, hobbies or passions, whether you’re into sports, days out, adventures or even admin there’s a home and a community for you.

No two volunteers are the same and no two days are alike. One day you could be going to the theatre with a coachload of friends. Or next week you could be organising a litter pick at a local park.

As a volunteer, you have the freedom, inspiration and diversity of ideas to make the role your own. Perhaps you like to get hands-on and attend a yoga class, or maybe you’d prefer to help organise a one-off coach trip.

Wherever your interests lie and whatever commitments you wish to make, CSSC’s diverse range of volunteering opportunities offer fun, fulfilment, friendship and flexibility and there really is something to suit everyone.
