Volunteer Vacancy in Bristol Area Association

What is the purpose of this role?

The purpose of this volunteer role is to promote the area association and its activities, events and subsidy schemes to the local members with a view to widening the awareness of the local programme to increase interest and participation and provide all members with the opportunity to take advantage of their CSSC membership.

Who do I report to?

The local area association officers. The Volunteer Support Advisor in your region can also advise and give guidance and help.

What skills/abilities do I need for this role?

  • Good communications skills.
  • Good knowledge of social media and the development of face book pages and on-going upkeep of the pages
  • Good IT skills to make sure quality newsletters and information can be produced.
  • Regular access to a computer.
  • CSSC member
  • Awareness of CSSC‘s role within the civil service and public sector (not essential as full support and guidance will be provided).

What is the amount of time I need to give?

This is variable depending on how much activity you generate but at least 2-3 hours per week would be reasonable.
