Raising Money For Charity

Piccadilly Gate in Manchester is home to a CSSC “on site gym” and big hearts!

CSSC Sport & Leisure run a “member get member” initiative for existing members to recruit new members and receive £10 cashback through My Savings+, or previously £10 Sainsbury's shopping voucher.

This is where the volunteer committee of the Belfield Fitness Centre in Piccadilly Gate, behind Piccadilly Station, came up with a very heart-warming and kind gesture to help those at the local Trussell Trust Food Bank on Oxford Road.

For every new member recruited to the gym (all gym members must be a CSSC member to use the facilities) they asked to be marked down as 'referring them' to receive the “member get member” incentive and for the 3rd year running the Committee have cashed in their saved cashback/Sainsbury’s shopping vouchers and purchased food to donate to Trussell Trust. To date they have donated £300 worth of food to the trust.

Outstanding work by the Committee Chair, Dave Clark and Committee Secretary, Graham Woodhouse and all others involved!

If you are not a member of the fitness centre and would like to join, please contact either Dave: dave.clark@highwaysengland.co.uk or Graham: graham.woodhouse@highwaysengland.co.uk for an application form.

Membership of the centre is £11.50 per month plus your subscription cost of CSSC membership of £3.95 per month.
