Our Regional Teams play an important role supporting the work of CSSC across the UK, putting on events and providing a focal point for the many regional CSSC volunteers to meet, share their stories of how they support our members and share good practice.
Why is this role important?
The Chair is a link between the Regional Team and the wider CSSC network and Head Office. They help the Team to stay focused and productive and support Areas to effectively meet the needs of their members and the priorities of CSSC.

You will work alongside likeminded and enthusiastic volunteers, who are committed to being progressive, inclusive and very supportive of fellow volunteers and members, in a sociable and friendly organisation, which is all about improving health and wellbeing and driving sports participation forward, There will also be a chance to be part of the CSSC Centenary celebrations, working collaboratively with the Centenary Lead Volunteer.
- Be able to inspire and lead with tact, diplomacy and confidence
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be happy chairing meetings and representing the Region at local and national events
- Have experience of managing strategically
Your time and expenses
Minimum commitment is around 12 hours a month, but this could vary over the year
Duration: 4 year term of office. Expenses will be reimbursed where necessary.
