CSSC is a not-for-profit organisation aimed at present and past public sector workers which positively promotes health and wellbeing. CSSC’s mission is to enable its members to achieve fulfilment through the provision of subsidised sport, leisure and social opportunities. Our aim is to help you have fun, get active, and try out new hobbies or enjoy social events.
Through its volunteers and members, CSSC works with employers to encourage a healthy lifestyle and the chance to enjoy new experiences. Volunteering for CSSC is open to anyone eligible to be a CSSC member.
The Role
The Hampshire North Area Association is looking for an Assistant Treasurer (volunteer) to give support to the Treasurer and cover during holidays and during busy periods assist the Treasurer to make payments to members, as well as work towards becoming the next Treasurer. This is a fantastic opportunity for a volunteer to acquire skills and confidence in managing finance while being part of an organisation that is dedicated to promoting health and well-being.
Training, support and mentoring will be provided. However, the role would suit someone who is well organised; a good planner with excellent communication, numeracy and record-keeping skills. You will also need access to emails and the internet.
The role is likely to take approximately 3 hours per week during Treasurer's absence. In addition, you will be expected to attend meetings up to 6 times a year.
