Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the Games Volunteer Team
    • Oversee administrative preparations in the run-up to The Games
    • Recruitment of the Games Volunteer Team
Prior to The Games
  • Administrative support for the Games Volunteer Team will be provided by HO.  Liaise with HO on all aspects relating to the Games Volunteer Team (email/teleconference/meeting as required)
  • Take an active role in the Games Volunteer Team selection
  • Attend a site visit to Loughborough (TBC)
During The Games
  • Ensure that all information is cascaded down to all volunteers in the weeks leading up to The Games
  • Attend the briefing with the medical company
  • Attend Sports Organiser meeting
  • Take a lead role during the Volunteers Team Briefing and with volunteers throughout the event
  • Help set up the Control Room
  • Ensure all aspects of the Volunteer Games Team are communicating smoothly with each other. Including the supervising of the packed lunch coordination.
  • Ensure that you have seen and understood a full set of CSSC Games risk assessments
  • Administrate, manage and react to the demands of the Games operational team, schedule and rota.
  • Thank all volunteers for their contribution to The Games.

Hours on Duty

  • Weds 14 September 2022 - Arrive (TBC)
  • Thursday 15 Sept 2022 - 08:30, Control Room
  • Friday 16 Sept  2022 - 08.30, Control Room
  • Saturday 17 Sept 2022 - 08.30, Control Room (Depart by noon)
  • Meet the HO teams who will outline the role requirements and support available. Including Jon Bunyan and Matt Taylor.
  • A site visit and familiarisation of the Games venue
  • HO will provide the day to day administration required to support the Games Volunteer Team and will provide regular updates to the Games Volunteer Team Leader
  • The volunteer selection process will be made available and discussed prior to the Volunteer Selection meeting
  • Familiarise yourself with the campus and each teams’ area of responsibility
  • Familiarise yourself with all aspects in relation to The Games
  • Familiarise yourself with the walkie-talkies and the protocol for their use
