CSSC Awareness Ambassadors
Date first listed: 3rd May 2022
What is the role of a CSSC Awareness Ambassador?
Are you passionate about CSSC? Do you love to help others get the most out of their free time and maximise their work-life balance?
We have a fantastic new opportunity to join the volunteer team as a CSSC Awareness Ambassador. As an advocate of CSSC your role will be to talk about and share the tremendous benefits of CSSC membership with as many people as possible. The more members we have, the more we can offer, so it really is a vital new role in helping CSSC grow and expand our already huge range of tantalising offers you already enjoy.
You’ll be fully supported and trained by our national recruitment team and your local Volunteer Team Leader. Being an Awareness Ambassador should take little time out of your day, but is a huge opportunity to make long-lasting contacts throughout the civil service and public sector.
What is in it for me?
- You’ll be paid for any travel to meetings you’d like to attend as part of your role.
- The role brings fantastic networking opportunities both within your department and across the country.
- It will hugely help enhance your CV, develop skills and add new competencies.
- You’ll be part of a wonderful team of select CSSC volunteers, growing a fantastic social network in a dynamic organisation.
- You’ll be coached by our experienced recruitment team gaining ongoing training and beneficial business techniques to help in your career, including how to liaise with people, network and grow opportunities.
- You’ll gain valuable experience in sales, public speaking and excellent opportunities for personal development.
- You will be part of a fantastic organisation that strives to improve the wellbeing of you, your colleagues and all of the civil service and public sector.
There are lots of ways to get more out of CSSC, like organising events and activities or finding innovative ways to promote membership and volunteer opportunities to your colleagues.
What skills do I need?
- You need to be friendly and personable, willing to speak to new people and be a confident public speaker.
- You should be a CSSC member, and be willing to learn, develop and share your knowledge of CSSC and our national and local offers.
- Ideally, you should be based in a work location, or have regular contact with a range of colleagues either virtually or on location.
What support will I receive?
- You will be reimbursed for any training and travel expenses you incur.
- As well as regular communications from our National Recruitment Team, you will be fully supported by a local Volunteer Team Leader and local area committee.
- You will be invited to monthly virtual and in-person meetings (when appropriate). You’ll be invited to attend national events, giving you opportunities to learn and network with others.
- You’ll receive training and be among the first to hear about CSSC’s new offers, nationally and locally, together with techniques in sales and speaking to possible new members.
- We’ll also provide you with access to materials to help you spread the word and be officially recognised as a CSSC Volunteer.
