tastecard FAQs

I cannot apply for a tastecard PIN/code, it tells me I’m out of allocation

CSSC members can download one tastecard PIN per year. Once you have downloaded a PIN it will show ‘Out of allocation’ until the following year.

To view the last PIN you downloaded log into your CSSC account:

  • Click on your membership number displayed in the top right of the page
  • Select ‘Order History’
  • Scroll down on your order history until you find ‘tastecard- tastecard’. In this box a code of numbers and letters will be displayed, which is your PIN
  • Follow the steps on the CSSC tastecard page on setting up a tastecard account using this PIN

Yes, CSSC members can download digital tastecard membership for free.

You'll need to do the first part on the CSSC website and the second part on your mobile device.

On the CSSC website

  1. Visit the CSSC tastecard page and click on 'Get your redemption PIN'
  2. Add item to basket (it's free)
  3. Click on your basket on the top right-hand corner of the page and checkout for £0.00
  4. Enter your email address and check your personal inbox for your unique redemption PIN

On your smartphone

  1. Click on your app store, for Android it's the 'Play Store' and for Apple it's the 'App Store'
  2. Search 'tastecard'
  3. Click install and follow the instructions to set up account with your email and a password, this is what you'll use to log in to your tastecard
  4. When it says 'Add new PIN', this is the redemption PIN you were emailed.
  5. Get ready to start saving

Log into CSSC and visit our tastecard page, then follow the below steps:

  • Click on 'Get your redemption PIN' and add item to basket
  • Click on your basket on the top right-hand corner of the page and checkout
  • Enter your email address and check your personal inbox for your unique redemption PIN
  • Follow the instructions in the email, if you’re either renewing or a new user.

You cannot use your CSSC membership number to access the tastecard app. Instead, you need to follow the steps on the CSSC tastecard page, which tells you how to download your free digital tastecard.

Free digital tastecard membership for CSSC members lasts for one year at a time. Each year CSSC members will need to checkout a new tastecard PIN from the CSSC website and renew their membership on the tastecard app.

  • Click on 'Get your redemption PIN' and add item to basket
  • Click on your basket on the top right-hand corner of the page and checkout
  • Enter your email address and check your personal inbox for your unique redemption PIN
  • Follow the instructions in the email for renewal

If you have acquired a redemption PIN from the CSSC website but it is saying it is invalid or has expired when you go to set up an account with tastecard, you’ll need to contact the tastecard team. Please email cssc@tastecard.co.uk and their team will help you.

No, you can use any email address to sign up for your tastecard.
