Play your part in preserving our past

Do you have a box hidden deep in the attic or under the bed that holds the records of a CSSC club or association? Or maybe medals, trophies or photos from one of our sporting events? If so, you could play a part in celebrating our centenary in 2021.

We'd love to hear of any of your artefacts, however big or small, that help tell the story of our past 100 years. These could be:

  • Old photographs
  • Diaries
  • Stories
  • Leaflets
  • Tickets
  • Programmes

With your support we can help keep the rich history and precious memorabilia from being lost or thrown away. Any donation that you make will be kept safe for future generations to enjoy.

If you would like to get involved with this important archive, then contact Hedley Featherstone on 07802 482330 or via email

Queen's Coronation visit, 1953

Be inspired by these fantastic images of Queen Elizabeth II's visit to our sports ground in Chiswick during the 1953 coronation celebrations. We're very grateful to Madeline Skelly for sharing these photos. Madeline was a player in a cricket match on that day:

“I was very excited and very nervous when I had to go into bat (unexpectedly!) but managed to survive and score some runs. I was told later that the Duke of Edinburgh commented on my ability to give the ball a good thump!".
