Russell Scott Trophy Winner 2020
This award is given to the Area Association with the best all round record in a particular year. 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone, and the winner has demonstrated that they have made a significant impact on the members offering package especially given the difficulties faced during the covid 19 pandemic
The successful area association decided to offer a Stay Close to Home cashback. The idea was to give the members a boost and to get them out and about using the excellent local attractions in Kent and staying local. The offer boosted wellbeing as well as the local businesses coming out of lockdown.
The most popular attractions were Wingham Wildlife Park, Howletts Zoo, Port Lympne Wildlife Park, Wild Wood, Sea Life Centre We had members attend Private Castles, Chatham Dockyard, Romney Hythe Railway, Rare Breeds Centre, Vinyards, Forestry Commission and National Trust sites. 182 members used the offer.
The area have utilised social media to keep engaged with the members for various communications and competitions, and they are only 1 of 4 areas to have grown their membership in 2020.
