CSSC saves the day
When the Cancer Research UK organiser of Yeovil Race for Life struggled to find volunteers for the event held at Yeovil College (first time held in Yeovil) on 16th June, Audrey Haskell (Yeovil Chair) and 11 other volunteers from either the Yeovil Area CSSC and / or The Octagon Choir, Yeovil stepped forward to help in running the Admin tent or Marshalling.
On to the next event
In the end, all 50 volunteers needed were found and well over 600 runners took part raising around £35,000. Audrey and Mike Haskell are now helping out at the Taunton Race for Life on 14th July also. It’s a really brilliant day out for such a worthy cause. If you can’t run, jog or walk the 5K, then why not think about volunteering at one of the events near you?
