The Lifeboat Fund - Anniversary Appeal

The Civil Service Lifeboat Fund's mission is to help save lives at sea. It raises donations to support key priorities identified by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

The Fund's 150th Anniversary Appeal, over 2015-2017, provides the charity with its biggest-ever challenge: to raise £1.1m to secure the purchase of a Shannon class all-weather lifeboat.

Please help us fundraise for this amazing boat - at the cutting-edge of life-saving technology. The Shannon has the agility and speed to reach those in danger and save lives at sea.

The Lifeboat Fund is immensely grateful to its supporters in the CSSC and all friends of the charity. Last year you helped us contribute £280,800 to train volunteer lifeboat crews.

If you can help with our Anniversary Appeal, to buy the Shannon vessel for the RNLI's volunteer crew at Wells lifeboat station, please donate on our website:, or contact charity secretary, Angela Saunders on:
