The merry month of May

17th May 2021

You’d be forgiven for not expecting the month of May to be upon us this quickly. It barely seems like 2021 has started and already we’re looking forward to a fantastic summer ahead with our rediscovered freedoms.

But, May time it is, and that means for many it’s our first opportunity to get out and about for rest, relaxation and rambling with some FREE days out and adventures. So, let’s get exploring to see what’s on offer.

Theme parks

All the major theme parks and many of the local attractions have already opened their doors. But now they’re back, better than ever. Many have used their downtime to build new rides and experiences to wow their returning customers, and take it from us, you won’t be disappointed. Check out LEGOLAND, Alton Towers and  Thorpe Park’s as just a taster of the new attractions.

You could easily save 15% on your theme park tickets, which could mean £25 for a family of four. Perhaps enough for a meal afterwards with your tastecard or a treat from the giftshop at the end the day.

Rather than booking directly with the site, make sure you take a spin round our theme park offers to see if you could save. And remember, you often get the best price by booking in advance.

Heritage sites

Our heritage partners Cadw, English Heritage and  National Trust Scotland have been steadily reopening their sites and should now have a full complement of visitor venues. But, please do check on their website before planning your trip and check for local facilities and restrictions.

With your free family membership to English Heritage and Cadw, you could save up to £50 on a family day out. And it’s a great, fun way to educate the kids, during their school holidays.

Plus, don’t forget to book in advance, download your digital CSSC membership card before you go and of course remember your 10% discount at some online and instore gift shops.

Speaking of holidays, this year, staycations are looking more and more popular and with it, some prices are increasing. So why not see if you could save anything off your summer holidays with our holiday partners? Like up to 10% off Haven, through My Savings+ or loads of savings with hotels, ferries and camping equipment.

Join us tomorrow for our second instalment of money saving activities and offers, which look at retail, fitness, dining and indoor hospitality.
