In November, 60 Swindon area members and their families boarded their Nimbus 2000 broomsticks (well a green painted coach) and were magically whisked away to Warner Brothers Studios, the home of Harry Potter.
Lord Voldemort tried his best to hinder our progress as the motorway was closed but Google maps saved the day and we arrived in good time. Ticket collection and entrance has much improved since our last visit.
The children donned their cloaks and waved their wands whilst their parents tried hard to contain their excitement too. It was certainly a place for all age groups.
Beware the dragon!
We were lucky as the snow scene in Privet Drive had only opened that day. Also Gringotts Bank was a new addition with lots of exciting surprises involving 3D effects and fire. Watch out for the fire breathing dragon demolishing the bank.
As we boarded the Hogwarts Express for our journey home, lots of weird shape packages were loaded but we had no excess baggage as the wallets were that much lighter!!!!
It was our 5th visit but it’s still extremely popular and no doubt 'Harry Potter will return.'
