The event featured a tour, and an extremely knowledgeable speaker, who delivered an informative yet entertaining talk on the rich narrative of the theatre – including topics from the Regency and Victorian years, to the II World War, and the destruction of the old theatre.
Following the enlightening talk, CSSC members headed to the newly re-opened Prelude restaurant for a two-course lunch. Members were delighted with the food, helped with having a choice of five items for both a main course and dessert.
Organiser, Pauline White, received many positive comments on the day and after the event.
This is what our Eastern Members had to say:
- “Once again many thanks for organising today – it was very enjoyable and the meal was yummy!”
- “I really enjoyed the tour and the talk. Thank you for organising it – the food was really good too! The aubergine and feta salad was really tasty, and lots of it.”
- “Thanks again for arranging such a lovely talk and lunch.”
