Eastern Darts Competition Results | Eastern Region

Eastern Darts Results:

The venue at Peterborough indoor bowls club, was a very warm and welcoming venue, air conditioning helped as it was scorching outside, to keep the player in tip top condition.

Ladies Results:

The Ladies’ pairs was eagerly contested round robin, between 5 pairs, with the victors being Jayne Rootham and Kerry Holmes. A huge well done on reaching the ladies pairs finals at the Nationals in Stoke.

The Ladies’ representatives in the singles are, Kerry Killick and Gill Santos. Very well done ladies and good luck in the Singles at the Nationals.

Gentlemans Results:

In the Gents’ competition, we had a 2 x 4 round robins to compete for the Men’s Team event.

The winners of group 1 was, Mick Rootham, Richard Line and Mark Holmes.

The winners of group 2 was, Jason Bland, Shaun Rootham and Scott Harwood.

Congratulations Gents on qualifying for the team even at good luck at the National Finals.

We then had 3 group of 8 to establish the Singles representatives, the winners of this were Paul Chalwin,  Dave Tidd and Steve Hooker.

We done Gents on qualifying for the National Singles Finals, good luck.

Top scorers:

Throughout the afternoon, we has some fantastic darts, with Mark Holmes hitting 2 x 180, and Kerry Killick, Gary Cushing and Mick Rootham all hitting 1x 180.

Highest finishes for the Ladies was Jayne Rootham with 52,

The Gents’ highest score was a 103 for Scott Harwood, the Mark Holmes has these, 113, 120 and a brilliant 158.

A big thank you to Paul The bar manager, for setting up all the boards and oches, also to Linda Sharpe for all the catering, a superb feast for everyone, also Kirsty Davies for all her assistance in helping me to get the competition advertised.
