Arts Survey Update

11th Jun 2019

We were really impressed by your response to the Arts Survey. In particular, the use of free text allowed space for some interesting and thought-provoking answers. We are sorry that it has taken a while to provide any feedback on the survey but we are working hard behind the scenes and will be taking your ideas forward.

When asked the question of what the arts means to you, in essence, your responses indicated that it is something that you would do for pleasure and enjoyment with like-minded people. We particularly liked this definition:

“Any form of culture which could be entertaining, thought provoking, educational, or simply something you do for pleasure and enjoyment.”

By far the most popular Arts form judging by your answers is Arts and Crafts. We are therefore planning on holding a Christmas themed Arts and Crafts Fayre towards the end of the year. There will be an opportunity for individual members or groups to run their own stalls.  We will provide more information on this over the coming months and will be contacting you about how you can get involved.

But this is not all we are planning on doing and we will be contacting members on an individual basis, who have expressed an interest in getting involved and/or have skills and experience that we are really keen to utilise. It may be in some cases that we will ask Area Associations to take ideas forward. We are very excited about this and will be in touch again soon!
