Why should you come to CSSC’s Southern and South East Regional Conference?
CSSC’s Southern and South East Regional Conference is an ideal opportunity for volunteers to get together and really make a difference to CSSC. The Regional Conference provides a great opportunity to meet and network with other volunteers and members of staff, and to discuss current and future initiatives.
We will also be asking for your thoughts on a number of other important subjects including: Future Funding Models, CSSC's Regional Sports Programme, the Volunteer Experience and the Reward and Recognition of Volunteers. The Regional Conference also gives us an opportunity to update you on our Digital Service Programme and our centenary celebrations, including what we have done so far and future plans. See the button below for the current agenda for the day.
Every affiliate is entitled to send up to 3 volunteers, one of which must be a new volunteer to the Southern and South East Regional Conference. Perhaps there’s someone on your committee or a volunteer who hasn’t been to conference before and would benefit from the experience.
Regional Sport Organisers are also eligible and encouraged to attend.
The Regional Conference email has being circulated to Secretaries, Treasurers and Chairmen of all affiliated bodies, so please discuss amongst yourselves who is best placed to attend.
Please do all you can to ensure that someone from your part of the organisation attends.
The cost will be met by the Region but any volunteer wishing to attend over the determined 3 per Area Association allowed, will result in the Area having to pay - cost is £190 (incl. VAT).
Regional Sport Organisers are eligible to attend through the Region.
Rooms are based on a single occupancy basis.
If anybody requires accommodation for the Saturday night, this is to be met by the Area Association at a cost of:
£145 single occupancy
£149 double occupancy
Saturday night 2 course carvery dinner and overnight accommodation is £169 per person.
Payment and booking for Saturday Night Only is to be made directly with the venue - call the reservations team as a £25 per person deposit is required to secure the booking - 01428 725 830
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CLOSING DATE FOR BOOKING IS WEDNESDAY 31 OCTOBER
CSSC Southern and South East Region will invoice the relevant affiliated association for any payment charges required, following booking.
If bookings are received that require a payment and no payment is received within 2 weeks of invoice, CSSC reserves the right to have the sums outstanding automatically deducted from the relevant affiliated association grant or budget. If the affiliated association does not wish to meet these costs, it will be necessary for them to recover the sums involved from the individual member.
Please note: Any changes that result in a cancellation, that are not notified to Paul Nicholson and Chris Edge after midday on Monday 5 November 2018, will be charged in full.
Claim forms will be available at the conference and submitted before leaving. The travel expenses for Conference delegates will be met by the Southern and South East Region, as per the National Travel Policy.
The Region would like to recognise its volunteers. Below are the nomination forms for affiliates and peer to recognise the Regional Leisure Organisation or Sports Organisation Volunteer of the Year for 2018.
Also, if you know a volunteer who has gone above and beyond why not consider nomination for a Certificate of Recognition found here. Please see below for the download buttons for the Leisure/Sports Organisation Volunteer of the Year award documents:
