Julianna's Training Journey

Hello, my name is Julianna and I work as a scientific specialist in the HSE in York. I’d like to think I live a relatively healthy lifestyle but find the gym an uninspiring and intimidating place. 

When I started at the HSE two years ago I was soon introduced to running outdoors with colleagues after work and I started enthusiastically.  However somewhere along the way I lost my momentum and other commitments got in the way. Now I hardly go out once in a month but, with Christmas looming, I’m determined to change this.

I’m going to start by arranging a run with friends and colleagues at least once a week. Then, once I feel a little more confident I hope to take part in an event; friends are always suggesting events and badgering me to sign up. By exploring the CSSC ‘My Active’ pages I’m going to explore ways to improve myself and hopefully have FUN in the process.
