Stephen's Training Program

Hi, I am Stephen Morrison, a Case Manager in Glasgow Disputes Resolution Centre. A 45 year old tri-athlete and step dad of two who wants to become a triathlete and be a positive role model.

In 2011-12, I lost over 170lbs in weight but over the course of the last few years, I have somehow managed (it might have been cakes) to put back on over 60lbs with injury, illness and circumstances all having an impact on my activity and eating levels. However, I am now determined to again transform my life and I have always found that being publicly accountable is a great motivator and I hope my fellow CSSC members can lend me their support and hopefully gain some encouragement for their own challenges.

I am not a natural athlete, but I love being active and and I love a challenge, so I have set myself some major goals for summer 2018.I have my sights on the CSSC Open water Swimming Championships in July, a 2 mile swim in Loch Lomond, several triathlons, Pedal for Scotland, The Swimathon Open Water Swim and a 10K which means so much to me. The Glasgow Men’s 10K (yes, a quiet summer)

Over the next six weeks, I’ll be sharing how I use my CSSC membership to help me prepare and restart my fitness drive and I hope that I can encourage a few of you to take advantage of the Activity Subsidy scheme and join me in one or two of the events, especially those that I am an ambassador for.
