Merit Award Winner | Berewyn Long
Congratulations, Berewyn! Another one of our ten Merit Award winners being announced today. Here's a little more about him!
"Berewyn became a CSSC volunteer in 1997. At that time, there was no active committee in the Bournemouth area, so he proactively pulled together a volunteer team. He became the Chairman, and primary events organiser of the reborn Bournemouth Area Association!
To the present day, Berewyn consistently organises numerous events for Bournemouth members, from boat trips to view the air tattoo to carnivals and gin masterclasses, he's always seeking to add new dimensions to the member offer. He demonstrates his commitment to providing members with the highest levels of customer service, ensuring that they have a great experience on the day by being there as a host, or ensuring that another member of the volunteer team is on hand to facilitate the event on the day.
He is still very much a leader within Bournemouth, supporting all officers and the programme of events. The level of dedication that Berewyn demonstrates to CSSC through his various volunteer roles is invaluable, this passion and commitment over such a long period thoroughly deserves recognition in the form of a Merit Award!"
Berewyn is currently the CSSC South West Region Chairman & Bournemouth Events Organiser.
