From prehistoric sites to Roman ruins, English Heritage cares for over 400 historic sites across the country. Outdoor free-to-enter English Heritage sites remain open to visitors at this time. These sites have large open spaces in which visitors can maintain social distancing and they are often located in quieter spots away from crowds.

Cadw manage historic properties on behalf of the Welsh Government. Cadw are keeping all unstaffed sites open, where possible, so you can use the open spaces to relax and refresh whilst following the government’s social distancing guidelines.
