CSSC 100 | Afternoon Tea by Peterborough Area *SOLD OUT*
Join us for an afternoon tea at Burghley House and Gardens to celebrate 100 years of CSSC with your local Area.
Burghley is one of the largest and grandest surviving houses of the sixteenth century and a magnificent example of the great Elizabethan ‘prodigy’ houses. Conceived by William Cecil, Lord High Treasurer to Queen Elizabeth I, between 1555 and 1587, Burghley is a testament to the ambition and vision of the most powerful courtier of the first Elizabethan age.
The Classic Afternoon Tea includes a trio of patisserie and cake items, a fruit scone with Tiptree Jam & Rodda’s Clotted Cream and a selection of dainty sandwiches. You can find out more here.
We hope you can join us for a lovely afternoon celebrating our centenary and enjoying the surroundings (and a few cakes too!).

CSSC 100 events
In 2021, CSSC marked its 100th anniversary and to honour this occasion we want to celebrate the work CSSC is currently doing through the CSSC100 initiative. Last year we encouraged our members, regions, area associations, departmental associations and sport and recreation bodies to organise an event, to be staged throughout 2022, to mark this occasion.
