CSSC actively seeks an Administrator to manage its Good Practice Bank.

The role provides the opportunity to influence the future development of this important volunteer support scheme within CSSC.

Hedley Featherstone, Volunteer Development Manager, will be pleased to develop with the successful applicant a suitable support structure for the role. This will include specific services and support provided by CSSC Head Office departments.

Main specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Take lead responsibility for the day to day administration of the CSSC Good Practice Bank.
  • Make recommendations to the Volunteer Committee and other submissions on an ad hoc basis as required.
  • Act as principal national contact within CSSC for matters relating to the Good Practice Bank within the CSSC community.
  • Co-ordinate and assist in the collation and distribution of material via the CSSC website relating to Volunteer Good Practice.
  • Undertake the role in a manner that follows CSSC rules and policies and that provides support and recognition to volunteers in a way that meets organisational expectations.
  • You will be working closely with Hedley Featherstone in the execution of the above.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, communication and planning skills.
  • A 'can do' and 'will do' attitude.
  • Highly motivated and passionate about CSSC volunteering.
  • An ability to research documents.
  • A desire to assist members to enjoy their volunteering experience with CSSC.

Estimated Time Commitment

It is difficult to quantify the time commitment needed at this stage. CSSC will wish to help limit the time burden as much as possible by facilitating teleconferencing and other measures and this will also, in part, be determined by the way the role is organised by the successful candidate. However, it is likely that the role will require between 5 and 10 days per annum.
