Who is entitled to Join?

Anyone who is an employee in a government department or agency, Royal Mail, BT, and other public bodies such as museums, research councils and companies carrying out ex-civil service work and past employees of these organisations who are retired on pension.

How do I Join?

Simply download and complete the applications form and mail to us by post, as we require your original signature to action the documentation. Unfortunately faxed or email copies cannot be accepted.

If you have previously been a CSSC member, you may be able to re-join. If you are taking redundancy, early retirement or leaving for any other reason, you can retain your CSSC membership, regardless of where else you work, as long as you pay direct to CSSC.

How Much Does it Cost?

Subscriptions via salary are £3.15 per month for 'Membership' and £6.30 per month for 'Membership Plus'. If you are paid weekly, it is 79p per week for 'Membership' and £1.58 per week for 'Membership Plus'.

Pensioners pay £2.84 per month (71p per week) for 'Membership' and £5.68 per month (£1.42 per week) for 'Membership Plus'.

Pensioners who are currently paying less than 43p pw/1.85 pm will continue to pay their current membership rates as they were pensioner members prior to 1 October 1999 and their rates were frozen at the time of retirement.

Please note that 'Membership Plus' is only required for those individuals who are interested in aviation or sailing activities.
