CSSC's Management Board is responsible for the formation of policy and oversight of the conduct of CSSC's business. Some Management Board responsibilities are delegated to two smaller, business specific Committees - Resources and Sports & Leisure. At the 2012 Annual Conference, of the twelve places on the Management Board, four will be subject to election - two of the places being on the Resources Committee and 2 of the places being on the Sports and Leisure Committee. Nominations for the four places are invited. These should be submitted on the Management Board Nomination Form, together with an election statement of no more than 200 words. CSSC invites members who want to contribute to the strategic direction of CSSC to stand for election. The Management Board comprises The Chairman, Honorary Treasurer and Executive Vice Chairmen, who are elected at the AGM, and twelve members elected at CSSC's Annual Conference.
Management Board (MB) members are normally elected for a three year term. However, some Rule changes are going to be proposed at the 2012 AGM (details of which will be available closer to the AGM date). If these are approved all MB members will stand down at the 2013 annual Conference. So, anyone who is elected to MB this year may only serve for a one year term. They will, however, be entitled to stand for re-election in 2013.
The Resources and Sports & Leisure Committees each consist of six elected members. Members of the Management Board have certain obligations in relation to the affairs of CSSC Ltd and of its subsidiary companies. Broadly, these obligations fall under two headings: business ethics and the confidentiality of information.
Successful candidates will be required to sign an Ethics and Confidentiality Agreement.
