Local News

Take That Concert at Wembley. Ticket, coach and B & B is £219 for members, £269 non-members. Can pick up at M1 corridor services. See here for poster. NB closing date extended to 13 May.

Grimsby - did you know that your Treasurer, Dave Briggs, has been volunteering for CSSC since 1979? He has been recognised by the Midlands Region for what has (and continues to be) an amazing contribution towards ensuring that the members are very well served in the Grimsby Area. Regional Events

Butlins Skegness - come and enjoy a day out on 11 September for only £7.50pp. All the usual facilities will be available including the Splash sub tropical waterworld, free funfair (excl. concessions), all restaurants, cafes & bars and the live entertainment. Cricket - the regional 6 a side cricket event will take place at West Park, Long Eaton. The date could not be confirmed in time for this edition but will be w/c 13 June or 4 or 11 July. Email phil.connolly@hmrc.gsi.gov.uk for latest update.

Mountain Bike Training - whether you are a complete beginner or have some experience we can help. The Midlands are running 2 training sessions - 25 June & 17 September. Places are limited to 8 each day so get in quick! Contact Andrew Sturgeon for more information.

Rutland Civil Service Sailing Club - is based at Rutland Water and operates two 20' keelboats (squibs). If you fancy having a trial sail you can access all the information you need here.  

National Events

Forget that lake inland, this is sailing by the seaside! From 23-24 July 2011, our CSSC national competition takes place at Netley Cliff SC on Southampton Water.  Click here for more information.

We need your help please!
We have recently launched a project civil service wide via the Head of Communications for the civil service to try to recruit more CSSC members. Information was sent through to Government Department intranets giving ALL civil servants access to 3 Countdown offers for 2 months.
