I hope that you all had a fantastic Christmas and a great New Year! For 2011, CSSC London has a fantastic events programme on offer, which will be enhanced by the introduction of three new districts in order to increase the local offering available to our members.

We are planning more taster days for 2011 and the region and your local districts would welcome suggestions for additional activities and trips. I hope that by playing an even more active part in CSSC, we will have another successful year.

Queen's New Year Honours 2011

New London Districts
We want our London members to have greater access to sports and leisure activities which are more local to them. To ensure this can happen, we are restructuring CSSC London. We will have new districts: North, South West and South East plus Central. More information shortly.

CSSC London Management Board vacancies

We'll be electing two new members of the Board in April 2011 - any CSSC member in London can nominate themselves for election. Nominations need to be submitted by Friday 4 March.

Chadwick Street Users Meeting
Following the announcement of the proposed closure of Chadwick Street, there will be a meeting of users on Monday 31 January at 6pm in the Social Hall, and a second meeting on Monday 28 February.
All CSSC members are welcome.
CSSC Membership cards will be required on entry to the meetings.



Departmental Association Meeting
All London Departmental Association representatives are invited to a meeting on Thursday 24 February at 1.30pm in the Westminster Suite at Chadwick Street.

Civil Service Squash Club
The club is based in the South Bank Club at Vauxhall, a state-of-the-art sports, fitness and beauty centre with extensive facilities, and well served by public transport. For £50 per year, CSSC London Squash Club members have access to 7 squash courts, sauna and steam room every day until 6:30 pm Monday to Friday, and all day on weekends.
