Following CSSC's AGM on Tuesday 14 June, important and very exciting changes to CSSC' s membership rules will come into play shortly. This includes expansion of our membership to allow all public sector workers to join CSSC, in addition to all armed forces personnel who were allowed to join earlier this year. That's only a part of the story though and further announcements, including great recruitment incentives for all existing members, will be circulated soon.

There have also been some great developments within the Eastern Region. Online Shopping is now live, allowing you to buy cinema tickets and a range of other benefits with a simple click of a button! It was also agreed at the Eastern Region Volunteer Workshop on 23/24 May to amend our Subsidy & Expenses Scheme for National, Regional, and Open Events. Kilimanjaro Challenge

Eastern Region Expenses & Subsidy Scheme
Entering a CSSC event? Did you know you can obtain expenses? Following a successful pilot scheme run by the Eastern Region, it has been agreed to introduce a common subsidy and expenses scheme to provide financial assistance to CSSC members taking part in CSSC Regional and National Open Events.
This means that, no matter where you live or work within the Eastern Region, you can know up front what help you may be able to claim and know that you will get the same amount of help as colleagues in other parts of the Region.

Do look out for your copy as it's packed with news and updates, including the most fantastic free CSSC competition ever staged for members. Eastern Region Workshop
I would like to thank all those volunteers who attended CSSC Eastern Region's Workshop at West Runton, Cromer, on 23/24 May. The agenda was full with items ranging from suggesting Regional tokens that could be added to the Online Shopping platform, extending the Regional Expenses & Common Subsidy Scheme and finalising strategies to ensure the smooth running of regional sports events. Stevenage AA was also awarded the 'Area Association of the Year Award' and the committee are now hoping to progress and engage with their members even more over the next year.
