What is VOSSA?

Find out more about VOSSA and who can be a member.

The Valuation Office Sports and Social Association (VOSSA) first began as the Valuation Office Sports Club in 1926. It became the VOSSA in the late 1990s and it has had a very successful sporting tradition over many years.

Every member of the Valuation Office Agency is considered to be a member of the VOSSA without payment of any membership fee. However, in order to participate in a VOSSA or CSSC event, we ask that members of staff wishing to participate join CSSC Sports and Leisure.

VOA staff are also entitled to participate in Revenue and Customs Sports and Leisure activities for the RCSL region in which they work but they have to be members of RCSL.

VOSSA receives a proportion of the CSSC subscriptions paid by its VOA members and it is with this money that we are able to organise events for VOSSA.

We have a committee, which consists of a President who acts as chair, Honorary Secretary, Honorary Treasurer and the sports organisers as committee members. Our President is the Chief Executive, Penny Ciniewicz.

Further details about VOSSA can be obtained from the Honorary Secretary, Annie Jackson by email: anne.p.jackson@voa.gsi.gov.uk
