What do we do?
Volunteers are the lifeblood of CSSC. All of the CSSC sporting, leisure and recreation programmes are only made possible because every year hundreds of volunteers give their time to ensure CSSC members can enjoy a wide and diverse programme of activities and events. You don't have to have a sporting background. There are many ways you can get involved as a volunteer and if you don't know a birdie from a penalty kick it really doesn't matter.
Do what you want when you want!
CSSC would like you to join in helping members to enjoy their involvement with CSSC. However, what you choose to do depends entirely on your own interests and how much time you have to spare. Many volunteers give up their time on a regular basis. Others help out occasionally whenever they have time. Whatever you do, you'll be making a real difference.
How can you help?
Each volunteer is a vital cog in the machine, enabling CSSC to deliver activities and events to more than 100,000 members. Whichever activity you choose to get involved in, CSSC will ensure you receive the necessary training and support to get the job done and enjoy the volunteer experience.
What can you gain?
CSSC volunteering brings all kinds of opportunities. It broadens your experience and boosts your confidence. You could learn new skills or hone existing talents. It is also a chance to be part of a team that makes a difference to people working in the civil service and public sector.
