Website Review for CSSC VolunteersCSSCNewsGraphic

Please see our four key functions stated below:

1. To assist members to gain the maximum benefit from their membership by effectively displaying accurate information on events, activities, benefits and opportunities that are available to them and may be of interest. Wherever feasible, the site should make it as simple as possible for members to pursue those elements of our programme that are of interest to them either through the functionality of the site or by direction that is accurate, clear and consistent.

2. To assist potential members to gain an effective understanding of the benefits of membership and to encourage and facilitate membership recruitment in the simplest ways possible.

3. To assist in the creation of a CSSC community and the means to offer communication options between members/volunteers in the form of forums and/or blogs.

4. To support CSSC's community of volunteers by providing valuable resources that assist and improve the volunteer experience. In addition, the site should seek to demonstrate the value of volunteering with CSSC and provide clear and consistent advice and guidance on the benefits and rewards of volunteering and how to get involved.

Website

We often receive feedback about the website and implement changes where possible but this is your chance to feedback on all areas of the site and to significantly influence the direction we take with this in the future. The website is always under review and will never stand still as there will always be ways to improve it. Since its re-launch two years ago, we have always intended to develop online joining for CSSC membership, payment for events online, forums for members/volunteers and possibly blogs. We are currently working on all of these areas of development. However, we would really welcome your thoughts on all areas of the website and would be grateful if you could spend a couple of minutes completing the questionnaire online so that we can review if the current structure and information held on our site is meeting the needs of our members, potential members and volunteers.

When answering the questionnaire, please keep in mind the agreed four key functions of the site above, as this is what we are aiming to achieve with it. If you encounter any problems with this, please contact Laura Murphy on: 01494 888404 or email laura.murphy@cssc.co.uk
