WELCOME to the Spring issue of V News. As usual, we have lots of news and stories for you including one volunteer's account of the successful Volunteer Recruitment Evening they held in Manchester and another member's challenge to trek the Inca Trail for Parkinsons UK.
Also we have Olympic news - one CSSC employee has been accepted to volunteer in the run up, and we also have a story from one member who shares her Games Maker interview experience with us!
Enjoy the read, and if any of you have interesting volunteering stories to tell, tips to share or information to give, simply email me at: Louisa.richards@cssc.co.uk and I'll make sure something is included in the next issue of V News due out in June.

Have you got your CSSC ICE (In Case of Emergency) card? CSSC recognises that very occasionally serious incidents happen at events and that a volunteer may need advice, support or assistance to resolve the situation. Also, CSSC has a responsibility to let the Cabinet Press Office know if there is likely to be press interest following an incident at a CSSC event. With much of CSSC's programme taking place outside of the working day, an ICE card enables you to pass information to senior CSSC staff 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If you don't have an ICE card or would like more information please contact Lorraine Mclaughlan, Customer Service Manager 01494 888447, email: lorraine.mclaughlan@cssc.co.uk
