Sian Priest, former CSSC women's cricket organiser emailed recently to say "Have just been offered the role of Team Leader at the North Greenwich Arena for the Paralympic games. Have you got your CSSC ICE (In Case of Emergency) card?
CSSC recognises that very occasionally serious incidents happen at events and that a volunteer may need advice, support or assistance to resolve the situation. Also, CSSC has a responsibility to let the Cabinet Press Office know if there is likely to be press interest following an incident at a CSSC event. With much of CSSC's programme taking place outside of the working day, an ICE card enables you to pass information to senior CSSC staff 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If you don't have an ICE card or would like more information please contact Lorraine Mclaughlan, Customer Service Manager 01494 888447, email: lorraine.mclaughlan@cssc.co.uk
