Have you got your CSSC ICE (In Case of Emergency) card? CSSC recognises that very occasionally serious incidents happen at events and that a volunteer may need advice, support or assistance to resolve the situation. Also, CSSC has a responsibility to let the Cabinet Press Office know if there is likely to be press interest following an incident at a CSSC event. With much of CSSC's programme taking place outside of the working day, an ICE card enables you to pass information to senior CSSC staff 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If you don't have an ICE card or would like more information please contact Lorraine Mclaughlin, Customer Service Manager 01494 888447 email: lorraine.mclaughlin@cssc.co.uk
Press interest Occasionally volunteers are approached by the press for a comment about a CSSC event. Volunteers should not under any circumstances make any comment to the press. but should contact Head Office immediately during normal office hours (Monday to Thursday 9am - 5pm and Fridays until 4.30pm). Outside of these times please use your ICE card to seek advice. For more information please contact Hedley Featherstone.
