Everyone present at the recent CSSC Annual Conference in Bristol was delighted to hear that our Chairman, David Bell, had been awarded a Knighthood in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.
We are extremely fortunate to have such a pro-active Chairman as David. He is very passionate about CSSC and the difference it can make to the working lives of civil servants. He regularly promotes CSSC to his Permanent Secretary colleagues encouraging them to support staff to participate or volunteer in CSSC events and activities. Despite his extremely busy work schedule he recognises the importance of being more than just a figurehead and finds time to join us at Annual Conference, the CSSC Games and at other events. His drive and determination to help CSSC succeed is abundantly evident and his enthusiasm is infectious earning him great respect across the CSSC community.
Congratulations also to Cliff Hathaway, Secretary, North Staffs AA and member of the Midlands Regional Executive who was awarded an MBE.
