New CSSC Membership Arrangements

Two months in and things are beginning to happen!  Open Membership

With CSSC's new membership arrangements having been in place for a couple of months, it's probably a good time to remind volunteers of the different elements of these arrangements and offer some early feedback and pointers.

Linked Members

CSSC members can bring into membership up to three friends and family members via the new Linked Membership scheme. So if your fiends or family share the same sporting and leisure interests as you, or even if they don't and would like to pursue their own interests, Linked Membership is a great way to share all the positive benefits of being a CSSC membership.

A big well done to the Plymouth Area Association Cricket Team that, as a group, brought in 25 Linked Members last week. No doubt the members will continue to enjoy Plymouth's local cricket programme, but those 25 can now enjoy everything else CSSC has to offer - including all our regional and national cricket competitions.

How many of your Linked membership slots have you used up?

Public Sector

All staff employed by Public Sector organisations are now eligible to join CSSC as full members (and able to have their own Linked Members). The bulk of these staff come from Local Government, the NHS, Police Service, Fire Service, Schools and HM Armed Forces - and those retired on pension from those groups.

I'm sure we all know people working in the Public Sector and many would love to be involved in what CSSC has to offer. To make that a reality, please take the trouble to bring CSSC to their attention and invite them to join.

Recent contacts with local fire service units, a network of schools and some regional police services are beginning to show very positive opportunities for CSSC. If you have public sector contacts, please pass them on to Sam Hart at sam.hart@cssc.co.uk so that awareness opportunities can be investigated.

Member Get Member

The Member Get Member (MGM) scheme rewards members for encouraging new members to join CSSC. Importantly, the new members can come from any area of our membership; not just Linked Members and new areas of the Public Sector, but also the civil service, retired staff, Royal Mail, BT etc.

Each new application carries the reward of a £5 Sainsbury's Shopping Card, with no limit of the number of rewards that can be earned. Hundreds of MGM rewards are already on their way to members, but it's important not to hang around as only applications received by 31 December 2011 will earn this highly flexible reward. Get recruiting now and save ££££'s with your Christmas shopping !

Any CSSC group with Associate Members or local 'Family Members' should be taking action to convert these members to either full CSSC membership or Linked Membership; especially if the local arrangements expire at the end of the calendar year. For further advice and assistance on this issue, please contact your Business Development Executive.

Otherwise, get recruiting, earn rewards, grow CSSC !
