New CSSC Website is now Live!

Plus you could win an iPad!

The CSSC website has been updated to include a host of new features, many of which were suggested by members and volunteers. Some of the new stuff includes:

  • Clearer and simpler navigation
  • Inter-active web maps to help get members to local and regional content quicker
  • A comprehensive event calendar
  • Content in part personalised by the location and interests of individual members
  • Improved registration arrangements and the option to stay logged in
  • Easier arrangements for volunteers to post information on the site
  • The means to subscribe to content and use Facebook and Twitter links.

That's just the start and the new site will form the basis of many new features in the weeks and months to come including content ratings and forums for volunteers. Please take a look around the site and let us know what you think by clicking here.

Some web pages have been placed in the new updated templates, but will be further updated in the near future to show a clear hierarchy of news stories. The typical layout will involve three main stories, two more 'second level' stories with others shown separately on a 'more stories' page. For more information about this and for details of how you can manage and update the web pages for your part of CSSC, contact Nikki Allen at nikki.allen@cssc.co.uk. Nikki will be pleased to send you a briefing sheet on the new web site arrangements.

Remember to come back regularly to see how things progress and we'll include further updates in future editions of V News.
