Membership Issues

Following decisions taken at CSSC's Annual General Meeting, eligibility for CSSC membership will be changing.

In summary, the changes include:

•  Staff working within all of the Public Sector, including within the Civil Service and HM Armed Forces, will be eligible to join CSSC.
• A Linked Membership scheme will be introduced. The scheme will enable all full CSSC members to nominate up to three Linked Members. These Linked Members can be any adult family members or friends.
• The Temporary Membership category will be withdrawn. In the future, anyone that would otherwise have been a temporary member will be able to join as a full member.

In addition to the above changes, a comprehensive 'Member Get Member' recruitment incentive will be introduced enable all members who encourage someone to join CSSC to be rewarded; full details to provided on launch.

All of these changes will be explained further when they are launched, initially to volunteers, in the near future. The launch will include new administrative arrangements and promotional materials. In the meantime, whether you attended Conference or not, prepare yourself for some exciting changes within CSSC!
