Regional Chairman's Forum
The annual Regional Chairman's Forum seeks to share best practice from across the country, encourage joint working and draw on the considerable expertise of the eleven regional chairmen whose regions cover members throughout the UK. The 2010 event was staged at the familiar Loughborough University. The topics covered included the strategic direction of CSSC regions, expanding the eTrading project, first introduced in the North West in 2009, Family Membership and work to improve the quality, equity and accessibility of members to the very best that CSSC has to offer.
The group discussed the significant challenges ahead for CSSC, but also the opportunities that might arise if we continued to move towards an improved offering to members that was attractive, consistent and easy to access. A number of local initiatives were highlighted that offered a real sense of momentum in terms of regions and Areas working closely together to improve the lot of members.
As ever, there were plenty of things identified that still need to be achieved, not least getting the very best from the funds available within CSSC so that all members can benefit easily.
Nonetheless, by the time we were finished a renewed sense of direction and purpose was agreed, backed by the support of CSSC Head Office - most notably via the Business Support Team, Event Team and Membership Recruitment Team.
