Suffolk Area Association has recently agreed to pilot a new volunteer coordinator role within the AA.
The overriding objective is to formulate and lead the implementation of a Volunteer Support Plan in order to recruit, train, motivate, retain and reward all volunteers contributing to the Association. Reviewing committee task descriptions and conducting a 'skills audit' of current association members to find out what expertise there is available will also be an integral part of the role. The coordinator will also encourage the committee to think about succession planning and will thus help to facilitate the opportunity for members to shadow the current officers CSSC work.
