Russell Scott Nomination 2011
The Russell Scott Trophy is awarded to the Area Association with the best all round record in a specific year.
Each year a large army of CSSC volunteers devote considerable time and effort to ensuring CSSC's Area Association community provides a vibrant and effective activity programme for members.
In doing this AAs and their committees show imagination, fortitude and innovation achieving remarkable results whether it's introducing new activity ideas, valuing their volunteers or increasing membership.
Especially for 2011 CSSC wants to recognise the significant impact the efforts of AAs have had over the year and how this has benefited the membership. No AA should feel excluded. Each and every AA contributes to CSSC's effectiveness whether it is providing a wide array of activity or a few well managed events and clubs
The judging panel is looking forward to hearing from AAs large and small, major city or rural. The panel recognise that it is unlikely no one AA will excel in all categories of the trophy. The panel also recognise though that most AAs may not feel it's worth their while submitting a nomination. Every AA whether they realise it will have one or two success stories worthy of consideration.
The judging panel will want to know about your:
Successes
- What significant successes the AA has had in the last 12 months.
Development
- How has the AA aligned to the CSSC Roles and Responsibilities for AAs?
Membership
- How has the AA sought to keep in touch with its members? What steps did the AA take to recruit more members?
Other than these items the panel want to be inspired by your stories. Don't keep your success to yourself. Your AA may have had that one idea or success that deserves recognition. The nomination process has been refreshed to make it easier for you to submit a nomination. You don't need to write lengthy essays. A brief description is all that is necessary for each question - max 200 words for each item or if you prefer just use bullet points.
The panel will select three finalists all of whom will be invited at CSSC expense to CSSC Conference on Monday 25 June where the winner will be announced.
If you have any questions please contact HF on 07802 482330 or hedley.featherstone@cssc.co.uk.
This year the successes and good stories from across all nominations will be shared with the AA community thus helping to share good practice and grow the AA community. Help make this happen by submitting a nomination for your AA.
Please Note - once you have filled in the form you will automatically be redirected to a page which says 'thank you for submitting this nomination etc' If you are not redirected to this page, your submission has not been successful and you will need to re-submit the form
Russell Scott Trophy - Closing date for nominations 15 April 2012
