CSSC and RCSL Yorkshire Regional Chess Rapidplay

Yorkshire First Team winner, Jonathen Nelson won the Yorkshire regional handicap Rapidplay at his first appearance, proving his class, yet again. All players are given an estimate grade and then time to finish the game (15 minutes) is divided between the players based on a simple formula using the difference of the grades.

Runner up was former winner of the event, Chris Peart-Binns, who like Jonathen, doesn't play regular club chess at the moment; and John Morgan and Ihor Lewyk finished in joint third place.

A competition for the best placed RCSL player rang alongside the main event and the results for this were:
1st: Ihor Lewyk
2nd: Chris Houlden
3rd: Brian Herriot

It was great to see so many new players take part in the competition for the first time and we hope to see them back again for the next fun event.
