See How We Got on at CSSC's Annual Awards Dinner
We have got some brilliant volunteers in Yorkshire and once again we were well represented at CSSC's Annual Awards dinner.
Adele Hirst got to the last 5 in the Volunteer of the Year category. She is not only on the Leeds committee but she is also Yorkshire's On line Shop Co-ordinator and in her spare time, organises events for us as well. She was recognised for all her hard work during 2010, in particular her work in setting Yorkshire up as the second Region to join On Line Shopping. East Yorkshire Area Association got a Highly Commended in the Area of the Year category. Unlike Volunteer of the Year, usually only one award is made to the winners. The Awards Committee felt that they had such a good submission that it wouldn't be right not to give them special mention. Pictured are Nicki Stowe and Karen Airey, the Area Chairperson & Secretary.
