Yorkshire Chairman's Award

Mervyn Stanley presents Steve Brattan with a Yorkshire Chairman's Award for 2007

I recently had the pleasure of presenting Steve Brattan with a Yorkshire Chairman's Award for 2007. Steve has given excellent service for several years and has run his golf events efficiently and economically, sometimes having a waiting list as he has filled the course. He always provides the dates of his events in ample time to advertise them and submits his accounts very shortly after the qualifiers. He has managed to get the various golf courses to sponsor the events and the winners usually get a valuable gift.

Although this is a Regional Award I was pleased to be able to present it at the National Scratch Final in Pannal, Harrogate, which he now also organises.

Congratulations Steve, a model organiser.
