York members Stan Thompson & Tony Horobin won all their group matches in the pairs event and topped it all off by beating Scotland in the final. Not half bad for a reserve team eh?
The fours team made up of Russ Barton, Ian McNeil, Jack Thorpe and Gordon Walker didn't have the same degree of success but still acquitted themselves well by winning 2 of their group matches and narrowly conceding the other 2.
