CSSC 5-Aside Carnage Squad
| Here's the story so far, regarding the adventure of the 5-a-side CSSC Carnage Squad. At the beginning of this venture, the main aim was to get some of the players fit (this is something we are still working on) and to also get together to have some fun and banter. This was straight out of the window, once they included me (Shrunken Head) in the team! I go by the old Shankly saying, if you're not 1st you're last (or was that from Talladega Nights) - Shake and Bake!! Anyway, back onto how we have done so far, basically we seem to have done the impossible (and no I'm not talking about Leeds being able to win a play-off final) and climbed to the top of the table, with the following results: Played: 12 Won: 10 Drawn: 1 Lost: 1 Scored: 144 Conceded: 63 GD: +81 This has seen some fantastic games, with the following being the most notable: 16-4 v Privates who were 2nd in the league at the time, 12-5 v Sporting Beeston, only team now able to challenge us for the title, 17 v 1 Carcraft, best game we have played all season and finally 12-4 v Goodfellas, which put them out of the title race. Overall, the players have been superb, and special mention to Chris Callaghan for organising the team and to Nick (G4) Moore, Shakeel Rehman and Neil 'Happy Feet' Heselwood for their performances. |
