Conference UpdatesCSSCNewsGraphic

Team Cymru have held two very successful conferences in the early months of the year. In January they hosted the area chairs on a days' conference at the Hilton Hotel in Cardiff where seven or the eleven areas were represented.

All manner of CSSC topics were discussed, including Areas working with each other to provide maximum support for their members, Valuing the volunteer, Gym equipment, Time off for events, Celtic games, better communication links and the possibility of E trading within the near future (this means you will be able to purchase subsidised tickets for a whole host of events both sporting and leisure on the CSSC Web site . The second conference was aimed at our regional organisers and was held at the Vale of Glam Golf and Country club. Many of our regional organisers were present including five new organisers who have agreed to take over some of the existing events in some cases and in others to start new sports/activities for the region. Once again, many topics were discussed including health and safety rules, leisure activities, hosting the Celtic games in 2012, and the possibility of introducing bilingual forms in the future.

We were also fortunate to have two members of the Events team present from Head Office, who advised the organisers of what support Head Office can offer, but unfortunately they came second best to the Welsh rugby team who just happened to be leaving he hotel on the team coach for their journey to Twickenham. Some of the delegates just couldn't resist a photo opportunity!
