This year’s final was attended by seventeen anglers and was held at the Match Lake at Cefn Mably Fishery near Cardiff. The match was hard at the start for most anglers with just odd fish being caught. The weather was nice and later in the match most people were able to find a few fish. One of the only people to catch consistently all day was the winner David Roberts who took a mainly carp catch of 63lb 14 oz on the pole. Second was Richard Hagg who had 37lb 6oz on a feeder method he had devised himself for the venue. Third was Iain Stuart with 32lb 12oz and behind the top three it was very close with six anglers all within just 8lb of each other.
